I am writing to express my interest in the Community Outreach and Program Support position at Dixon Hall, as advertised through the Canada Summer Jobs program. As a current Community Worker student at George Brown College with recent field experience at Black Creek Community Farm and PEACH organisation, I am passionate about inclusive community engagement and supporting programs that uplift seniors, youth, and other marginalized groups.

During my placement, I helped coordinate wellness check-ins, facilitated food distribution programs, and supported local outreach initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my interpersonal and organizational skills and deepened my understanding of the needs of diverse communities. I am particularly drawn to Dixon Hall’s mission of providing accessible, equity-focused services, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your Seniors Active Living Centre and community programming.

My lived experience as a newcomer to Canada and my background in both service and community work allow me to connect with people from various walks of life. I am adaptable, compassionate, and eager to learn from Dixon Hall’s dedicated team while making a positive impact through outreach and program support this summer.
